Every Friday, The Watchdog Report releases THE LIST, an ongoing literal list enumerating the members of the Trump Administration who need to be the subject of a Congressional investigation when Democrats retake control of Congress, and with it, the power of the congressional gavel (and subpoena pen). THE LIST includes Ed Martin, Ballard Partners, and US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, Kash Patel, Garrett Wade, aka “Johnny MAGA,” Ben Yoho (CEO of The Strategy Group) & Tricia McLaughlin. The latest addition to THE LIST is Corey Lewandowski.
Earlier this week, NBC News posted an “Exclusive” story with this headline: “Some DHS contractors told White House officials they were asked to pay Corey Lewandowski.” It’s worth noting that in the piece, Lewandowski‘s spokesperson issued an unequivocal denial: “This is absolutely false and did not happen — Mr. Lewandowski never demanded any payment or compensation from the Geo Group, at any time.” It’s also worth noting that questions about his status as a “special government employee” were first reported back in August of 2025. Republican sources have told The Watchdog Report that not only was Lewandowski involved in approving government contracts, but that he was also directly involved in hiring staff/appointees/etc. at DHS, and that there are rumors that payments or commissions were paid to Lewandowski and/or to entities/nonprofits that Lewandowski has financial interests in. I don’t see how these questions go away until Congress does a deep dive into Lewandowski’s finances and into any entities that have financial ties to him. So, until we get answers, Corey Lewandowski, you’re on THE LIST.
